Setting Up Sales - Parts Accounts

This feature allows you to set up Sales - Parts Accounts. There are three functions that can be set up in this screen:

Note: Custom entries you add in this screen can be used in the Line Item Mapping Rules feature. If you are using the Export to Accounting feature, the accounts listed in this screen must be mapped to your accounting software through the Accounting Connections feature.

The information you enter here affects sales reporting, workfile gross profit, and exporting to your accounting software.

To set up the Sales - Parts Accounts

  1. Select Configure Profiles from the menu bar.
  2. Select your repair facility profile, and then select Edit from the mini-toolbar.
  3. Click on the Sales - Parts Accounts link under Repair Management.
  4. Select Edit from the toolbar.
  5. Edit the Display Name text in the field if needed, and then enter a new value in the Goal Profit Goal % field.
  6. Select Add from the toolbar. This step allows you to add a custom account.
  7. Enter a value in the Display Name and Gross Profit Goal % fields.
  8. Click OK. The message A new custom account was added. Please map the new account in Accounting Connections screen appears.
  9. Click OK.
